Nimsdai was born in Nepal and like his father and brothers
before, he signed up to join the Gurkhas, where he would serve for
six years. Nims then passed selection for the UK's special-forces
and went on to serve another ten years with the Special Boat
Service. After leaving the forces, Nims has gone on to become one
of the world's greatest mountaineers, accumulating an ever-growing
list of record-breaking climbs and rescue missions. After one such
mission, Nims was awarded an MBE for outstanding achievement in
high-altitude mountaineering. His Netflix documentary, '14 Peaks',
follows his attempt to summit all 14 of the world's 'Death Zone'
peaks in just seven months.
